Marian Candlelight Rosary Procession, Lourdes, October 2009
This is a video that I took during the Marian Candlelight Rosary Procession in Lourdes, France in October 2009. Each night, pilgrims begin at the holy grotto where Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception appeared to Saint Bernadette, and process by candlelight through the Sanctuary to the Basilica. During the procession, the Rosary is recited and sung by the pilgrims, each in their native language, creating a beautiful melding of cultures and prayers. While the quality of this video is poor, I hope that it demonstrates slightly the powerful experience that is Lourdes.
